I don't really have anything to report. I'm just sitting in the math library (yes, Cornell has a library specifically for math. We do have everything! hmm, except palm trees, and I could probably find one in the Plant Sciences building), because I didn't think I would have any down time. But now I do! Oh, on a more positive note, I scored a 142 in a bowling game (match?). This is perhaps the best I have ever done, and as such I am feeling warm fuzzies towards it.

The latest chapter in my life suggests that I will not be a vet. As such, I am going to be leaving the realm of animal science (used only for research, vet med., and farmers), and heading for a major with little or no real value. So I really messed up my lab today. I was like why is this pretty white crystalline substance not dissolving? Oh! Because it's magnesium sulfate and doesn't want to. Attempts to beat it into submission were in vain. I have to go make it up tomorrow, but they opened a new lab for me. Yay for my power of disrupting the lab schedule!

I got my orgo prelim back. I got just a couple of points below the mean, which means that I beat about 300 people. Funny, because the mean was a 54/100. If Cornell has taught me one thing about life, it's that perspective is everything ( Read more... )

So, today I was walking home from my one class (nutrition lab), when I saw a squirrel. Seeing a squirrel is not unusual here at Cornell, in fact, I think they should develop some form of squirrel birth control. That would be interesting.
