Parents don't give a shit about their kids, most of the time. I'm a parents, and the behavior of other parents shocks and outrages me quite often. People leave their small children to their own devices starting when they're babies by putting them in daycare. Then, they go to work, or go out an do their own things, and we have a multitude of latch-key kids with all this TIME on their hands. I was one of those kids, I did do some messed up things, and I can say I'm pretty lucky to be alive. I think if parents would just pay some attention to their children, we wouldn't have all these problems. I have friends whose families were the exact opposite of mine: Their parents were around as much as possible, they were involved in sports and other extracurricular activities, they encouraged and supported their kids, and the kids turned out very well. At least, they make more money than me and seem to be a little less messed up. ;) I guess I'm old fashioned, but I believe that if you have children, those children should be put before you untill ( ... )

Hey now... my dad got me a computer and buggered off and I turned out ok ;P

But I do agree.. most people when left to their own devices do some not-too-right things leading to general badness... but dammit world, if you're looking into a daycare/school make bloody well sure you research it! If I had kids and considered a finsihing school I'd be online checking any good and bad press on the place. The whole law suit and torture facility wouldve put a red flag in front of the WWASP.

I hope tht Jay Kay guy gets either a large lawsuit or a large boulder dropped on him for what happens to those kids.

You're not the spell-check faerie, because there are thousands of livejournal users who are barely coherent and therefore much more in need of your advice.
