I of course grew up on "Lookin' Out My Back Door", then got a lot more into CCR once I got into kind of a "classic rock" phase. Along with The Beatles I think their albums are the still the only ones I could ever put on around my dad and not end up in an argument about the music. I've seen The Black Keys once, and they were pretty great. All I've got of theirs is Rubber Factory, and then I picked up the Dan Auerbach album and Blakroc (basically the Black Keys doing beats for hip-hop songs) from someone else.
Also, I hadn't used blip fm in ages and had no idea I had it set to post to my livejournal. I sort of like that it does, but in the future I'm going to try and just post one song or less a day, so it floods people's friends page less.
"Lookin' Out My Back Door" is one of my all time favorite CCR songs. I love how innocent and upbeat it is. My dad got me into the Beatles and CCR when I was growing up. One of my most favorite memories is when I was a very small kid, coming home on Sunday mornings after going out with my parents, and my dad turning off all the TVs, and playing his music really loudly. I miss that. The only Black Keys album I have is Thick Freakness (is that even it? Haven't listened to them in a long time) but when I listened to the album, I fell in love with it. I loved their sound so much.
