First update in a busy two weeks
School is in full swing. I'm doing well. I've made almost every class. I missed one class when I had been awake for 24+ hours and felt it would probably be best to go to bed instead of class. Regardless, I certainly feel more focused on school now than at any time previously in my college career ( Read more... ) -
Still can't seem to sleep
This is the third straight night i've had problems sleeping. Tonight I got home from class at 10 and went pretty much straight to bed. I was already very tired and I was hoping that maybe some of the fatigue from not sleeping well the past two nights would help me sleep more soundly tonight. Alas, this was not the case. Insomina attack!
The last two nights, it's been really difficult getting to sleep. Yesterday night I tossed and turned for what felt like an hour before getting seven hours of halted, stop and go sleep. I went to Wendy's for lunch this afternoon. I ordered spicy chicken nuggets, but I got regular chicken nuggets. I didn't notice the error until I got home, otherwise I would have asked for the right nuggets. It fairly well ruined my meal. Damn Facebook
Facebook has given me a renewed awareness that I don't have enough fun. I see pictures of other people with their people smiling and looking enjoyed. Even if the atmosphere in many of the images is contrived, surely some of them are people really having fun. Sometimes I just can't help but think "why isn't that me too?". Tonight was a painful reminder
I am gettin old. I played a game of basketball in a fairly casual league tonight. Tom dragged me there, claiming everyone sucked (which was a lie). Evidently they needed a fill in. Rain water has seeped into the garage from the door to the atrium. Some has soaked into the carpet of my bedroom. It's annoying, but worse i'm afraid it will smell like mildew later. -

I don't get headbands. A small but visible minority of NBA players wear them, and I just can't imagine why. Do they think they look cool? Do they serve any practical value? I think there's something effete about them. Moreover, with all of the movement and impact in NBA games, I would imagine the headband would either require constant adjustment or ( Read more... )
