Ford Motor and Zhejiang Geely Holding Group said Wednesday that they had settled “all substantive commercial terms” on a sale of Volvo, clearing the way for the Chinese automaker to purchase Ford’s Swedish unit.

What was your best trip in 2009?

The best trip was our only true trip of the year - our belated honeymoon in Seattle. Whether it was visiting our koumbaro, Stan, making discoveries in Seattle's great local food scene, or visiting outlying areas full of scenic beauty, we had an absolute blast.

It's amazing how quickly an afternoon flies by when you're reading your way through the website of the National Center for Home Food Preservation while two quarts of ketchup bubble their way to deliciousness on the stove.

uisinger is out of town for much of this weekend. She's going to be spending tomorrow with grownie, who is going to be having a baby any minute now. That means I'm up here in Madison by myself, "bach-ing it" as the men in my family say.
