Yet Another Misguided (?) LJ Experiment

So, I was digging through my yahoo mail account, and found that I had 12,958 stored messages which contained the words "LJ Comment" in the title.

I am no longer on LJ except to keep up with LJ friends. It has become too loaded with advertisements, and too unfriendly to use without a paid account.

Hey - thanks for the mutual add. What prompted my request was how amused I was to see this post -- because I've been doing the very same thing, making my way through my never-cleared-out YahooMail account, reading old LJ threads when I come across the notifications, seeing who's here and who's not and checkin' out their journals ... and wondering much the same thing.

But I still likes me some LJ, although I rarely post anymore ... and hardly ever poke around in the christianity community. My tapering off on LJ seems to have coincided with two things: 1. Getting a position at work that demanded more of my time AND that I dearly loved so didn't mind putting in the time; and 2. yeah, Facebook.
