He had the coffeemaker in a box under one arm, a bottle of very expensive white merlot in one hand, and the other was still trying to get his keys back in his pocket. At least Nafrit had talked him out of showing up with two dozen balloons. He'd thought it was hilarious but she'd pointed out he couldn't get them in the car and then drive without killing the both of them.
So he knocked and waited to suck up for missing the wedding in the first place.
