Well, it's been the last week of the Easter hols for me, and I think I can say I've had better ones. Monday night I got home and immediately started throwing up. This continued all damn night and I'm guessing that all in all I got about 3 hours' sleep in between violent fits of vomiting. So, I had my jabs for Hepatitis A and  Typhoid today, and am feeling rather woozy from the side-effects. Within the next week I still need injections for Rabies, Hep B, Yellow Fever and to get my prescription for high-end Malaria pills. I at least feel glad that I'm getting this out of the way now and not within a week of take-off. Scarier than ( Read more... )

Just over the last two nights I seem to have had a bit of a "forum uprising" going on regarding the Carlisle LARP game. Someone posted their opinion that once a month left too much time between sessions, and a couple of others responded, saying that they were losing enthusiasm for their characters in the interim between games. Had my glucose tolerance test this morning. Turns out I'm towards the upper limit of normal glucose tolerance, which I suppose isn't too bad. To explain:

I went 12 hours without eating or drinking anything. Fair enough I was alseep for 8 of them, so it's not exactly a hardship. At 9:30 this morning I was given one of those handheld point-of-care ( Read more... )

Well, I've sorted out which optional modules to take in my course next year. Marine Biology and Ecology & Conservation.  Both are year-lomg, and both should be quite a lot of fun to study, I think. All I can say is, the less biochemistry the better.
