well i have to admit my heart did drop to the floor when i saw the words 'fin.' on the end of this chapter, but i have to thank you so much for a wonderful fic that i really enjoyed reading. it was like reliving the best moments of season one but ten times better because you gave us glimpses into their lives that we didn't see in the show. thanks again!

I think you did an amazing job of fitting this into canon. To me this seems exactly how it went and why Chuck was so angry about everything and bitter afterwards.

gah, tbh when I saw this on my flist page I got so excited that I skipped your author's note and missed the bit in the title that said 4/4 so it was only five minutes after finishing the fic that I realised it was the end! I really, really hope that you decide to write more C/B fic in general because you're so good at interweaving the fluff and the smut and making everything feel really organic. I adored this, you did an amazing job!

argh, sorry to disappoint! i'd be annoyed at me so thank you for the very kind comment. i have plans for another c/b story, which WILL be happy this time, just have to get my exams out of the way :( thanks again!

i waited till after the season 2 finale to write this part because i knew it would deliver the happy that i couldn't, lol. so no need to be sad! i was thinking of a c/b version of Pretty Woman... but i'm starting to doubt it.

Well...man. You managed to write a fic that both expanded AND improved on something that I thought was pretty well written at the time (CB season 1) and made me fall back in love with them as a couple, which I don't know whether to thank you or curse you for.

...I have to thank you because it was so beautifully written and so well done and you NEVER took the easy way out. I really like how you gave plausible reasons for Blair doubting Chuck (his other women) while still making it clear how smitten he was, and for giving us a very plausible set up for Blair returning to Nate even though we hate it, while still making it clear how smitten she was as well. FANTASTIC. You have serious talent, and I really appreciate that, but even more I appreciate the discipline it must have taken to write this fic and end it here. I'd love to see an alternative season 2 CB story from you if you're ever so inclined.

I've fallen out of love with the show, but would like to friend you if it's OK to keep up with what you're writing. If not, I completely

when someone like you completely understands my intentions and even manages to say something nice it makes me so happy! and relieved. thank you so much for your comment, it really made my day.

!! i'm glad you love them again. you must have still loved them if you're reading c/b fic :P

I really like how you gave plausible reasons for Blair doubting Chuck (his other women)i had to plant seeds of doubt otherwise chuck would so be the obvious choice in this story ;). when they fight in Hi, Society she says, 'you almost made a fool of me in front of the NY Times, which proves my very point, you can't be trusted', it seems like they could've fought about it before. nate's dependable. i really love how season 2 blair had stopped expecting all of that from chuck (in a healthy way) and just wanted him for him, i can't wait to see how they deal with it in season 3 now they're actually in a relationship ( ... )

Uh...I hated everything season 2 from the time Jack left, especially the Elle storyline, the Chuck/Vanessa hookup, and how they handled Blair/Nate with both characters changing from episode to episode. But starting with Elle, I really had problems believing that Chuck loved Blair (when frankly I could have believed it as early as episode 2 in season 1) and I hated that the season was about destroying Blair over and over. The finale didn't fix much for me. So believe me when I say...I was/am off the ship. I had problems with some things before that as well, but mainly it was everything after Bart's death ( ... )

oh god, somehow i forgot about vanessa, that made me ill. i didn't understand the point of it in the end, since blair didn't give a shit anyway, unless something else is going to happen in s3? :\ elle was also wtf, though i didn't really think much of it at the time, it just seemed like chuck was trying to get over blair in the dumbest way possible, as usual. god that actress was terrible lskdfjs.

i kind of loved them destroying blair because it made her face her vulnerabilities, and taught her how strong she really is. she's so resilient, it's awesome. chuck still has some serious grovelling to do.

re: season 2 fic - i get what you mean, the whole season was really scattered and badly structured. they kept starting things and not finishing them. i'm a missing scenes gal though and this time round the writers put as much c/b as possible, lol. i think i'll watch some s2 again and think about what you said :)

I'm so sad it's over! As for the ending itself, it was frustrating but appropriate. I really hope you write more in the future :)

lol, i love your use of 'appropriate', i think it sums up exactly how i feel about it. not great, or horrible, just appropriate. slfksj the next time i start a story i'm going to make sure it has a proper ending :P. thank you :)
