i got out of my nursing orientation later than scheduled. so as i headed home from the med center, nothing could prepare me for this flooding. i was almost certain i was gonna have to wait out the flooding in a parking lot or abandon the car and wade home through the waters. after nearly thirty minutes, i finally found a street that was passable ( Read more... )

i put in my two weeks notice. i received a job offer and i'm still in shock with what they offered me. it was way above  my salary expectations. i'll start hospital orientation july 9th. i'll be back to working 12 hr shifts and every other weekend.  i think i can get used to it again. i'll have more control over what my schedule will look like, ( Read more... )

i came across this video today. i guess you have to be familiar with EKGs and telemetry to get it, but it's pretty damn funny. i'll never forget how to identify a type I AV block again. plus, i think med students have too much time on their hands.

had a job interview today and i think it went well. i hope to hear something later this week. the unit and hospital is different from what i'm used to, but i think it would be a good change. and right now, anything is better than my current job situation ( Read more... )
