"Planning My Future," or "What in the F am I Doing?"

As most people who read this know, I graduated in June of 2008 and have yet do do any real work in my field, or even choose what field I'd like to have as mine. I'm not sure how I feel about my lack of direction, and I get conflicting messages about it ( Read more... )

Yeah, I keep telling myself that taking the time to move deliberately will be worth it in the long run. While I feel old compared to my own experience, I know that in reality I have more time.

And then there are those of us who know what we want to do but are taking forever getting there. :) It's so difficult to find a job these days even if you know exactly where you want to go with your life, and there are a LOT of recent college grads who are in the same situation. In fact, I'm living with one! Just... keep talking to interesting people, see what they do, and go from there. You're amazing, and I think you can do anything you set your mind to. :)

*hugs* Thanks for the positivity. I love hearing updates about what you're up to because it sounds so cool and like you've found a path you really enjoy; hopefully I'll come up with that at some point.

Ooh, the Career Center is a good idea! I wasn't really ready for it during college, but maybe going back (or calling or something) would work well.

p.s. How are you doing? Still going strong in MN?
