A new kind of geek
I'm becoming a knitting geek and I love it. :) I made a hat, that I'm extremely proud of, and now I've started a scarf and i'm knitting patterns into it. It's so much fun! Now I have something ELSE to do in all my spare time. besides clean my house, get ready for the baby, finish the fairy costumes for my nieces, etc ( Read more... ) -
Realization
Have you ever listened to a song a million times, but then for whatever reason, you hear it again, and you actually hear the words?
That just happened to me. The show is Sunday in the Park with George, the song is Move On. I was listening to a commentary with Mandy Patinkin, and he was reading the words to this song, and the gravity and awe of this ( Read more... ) -

Snow, snow snow snow SNOW!!!(cue Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye)
A Scant post, but a post none-the-less. I love the snow. It's pretty, and we don't see this much very often. I hate driving in it. So, luckily , I could work from home for 3 days last week. the UW suspended operations this week, so we got some snow days. We have to make up those snow days later, but it's kind of nice to not be required to work that ( Read more... ) -
the continuing saga of xmas decorations...
I got *part* of my outside decorations up yesterday. (I did stay home. it did wonders for my "mental health".) ;) Didn't accomplish as much as I wanted too, of course that was with separate trips to Walgreens and Target to find the right gutter clips for xmas lights, and more extension cords. *sigh* I *think* I have all my supplies now, i shouldn't ( Read more... ) -

I haven't really posted life updates in a while, I guess because it doesn't seem like there's much going on in the world of me. (Except baby stuff). But, I decided to post what's happening in my world, mainly so I can keep it straight in my head. ;)
