Friday night I went for a showing of Bable at the ByTowne theater, an old-school 500-seat movie theater where they still sell popcorn made with real butter (that's right, it does not come out of a pump!). My first full week of classes left me a little sad: I couldn't shake the feeling that everyone had an upper hand on me, that they all knew something (or someone) that I didn’t.  This was probably largely due to that little group of students who have somehow managed to infiltrate a professor’s lab early on, and walk around with an aura of knowledge ( Read more... )

Now that it's been two weeks since I've moved into my new apartment (and finally unpacked my clothes and shoes!) it's housewarming time :-D
