Busy year

In a few weeks, I leave for a month of touring. First I have a two-week Caucasus tour, which of course I am thrilled about. One of my friends remarked the other day, "you're always going there!" True, and I'm not complaining, but it would be even better if these trips were on my own terms. There's so much of Georgia I'd love to see, but haven't ( Read more... )

Haha! I finished by the deadline I had set for myself, so it's all good.

Are you back now? I enjoyed reading about your travels. That brief conversation between the guide and the client was strangely familiar...

Trust me, I know what a deadline of this kind is, so it's great that you've dealt with yours... :)

Yes, I'm back now. Came yesterday early morning (or late at night). And it was the first time ever, that I had Internet access during a voyage, so there was a possibility to share some of the excitement.

That kind of conversation happened to one of us as late as last year's fall, as far as I remember... ;)

I hope you get to go someday. It looks like an amazing place. Have you ever seen the film "Urga" (apparently it's called "Close to Eden" now)? That sold me on visiting Mongolia.
