Wrote this monday morning
Woke at 4am and couldn't sleep. Dressed and quietly left the room. I found my way to the food hall and pulled up a seat next to the very dark window. Many of the philappino porters were singing as they prepared for the crowds for the morning meal. It was brilliant and dramatic. They were quite nice and brought brioche, jam and coffee.

Another day in paradise
Lovely day today... It should be about 85, dry and sunny. I'm going to work from my patio today. It's a day of conference calls and paperwork and I might as well do the damned stuff from here.

We are simpletons
For our entire school-lives both Jackie and I had our first day of school the first Tuesday in September following Labour Day. This was without fail, etched in stone, never to be torn asunder. Clarkson asks why Canada will manufacture an SUV that can withstand small arms fire for a full 24 hours. The answer should have occurred to him. The answer is.. friendly fire. Just think of who their neighbours are. -
