So, this morning my mom calls me while at work.  She informs me that my grandfather (who has been in ICU for the past month with pnumonia and other complications) will be going in for surgery today.  His regular dialysis port was infected and had to be removed.  The surgery is to place a new temperary port in his leg until they can get the
