Wow, it's been a long time since I typed in this little box. I don't have much to say at the moment, either.

...except that I saw the pre-screening of Star Trek! It was as much fun as I hoped it would be. I bounced the whole way through the movie - except for the parts where I cried. (For those of you who might not have guessed, I'm a bit of a sap ( Read more... )

Oh, I know. And I don't blame you - a geek's gotta do what a geek's gotta do.

I'll see it next week, and quietly seethe with my righteous geek fury at missing the preview. :)

However, I did see the April preview of Serenity, so it's hard to complain.

Sorry, I despise Serenity. Love Firefly with a passion that still burns brightly, but despise Serenity.

Nope. I guess you'll just have to wait and see it yourself. *smirk* Na, na, na na... oh, who am I kidding? I couldn't keep it from you even if I wanted to.

It's great, imho. It was somewhat cheesy at first and there were a couple of plot holes, but I didn't care because the rest of it was totally awesome. The actor playing Kirk actually played Jim Kirk, not William Shatner. Spock was played really well, too, with just the right amount of conflict in his personality. I wanted to drink whiskey with Scotty. Uhura has the one of the best lines in the whole movie. It's a really romantic line, too, but it's geekily romantic, which made it all the sweeter for me. I'm not going to tell you what the line is, though. You'll really have to wait for that.
