Innsbruck, Austria

Today was the first day of exploring Austria outside of Maria Alm where we are staying. We got up early (well 7:45 is early for me). And drove two hours to Innsbruck which has been coined "the olympic city with the golden roof."

The first thing we passed was this spire built to celebrate the successful defense of the city from Bavarian Invaders:

Fantastic pictures from the tower! Very interesting perspective.( You may get an award winning photo out of one of you artistic views.) Laughed at the don'ts. The Hapsburg palace is especially interesting to us because every New Years Eve a Vienese Ball is held there and we watch a wonderful concert and dancing from there on TV.

Will do on both the beer and the pictures, I'm traveling with my mom through the end of the month. Anything before June 30th was mostly on my own...

I especially like the idea that you are not allowed to have an ass in an ice cream cone. That's a good rule to live your life by.
