So it is the last day of voting and there is no way we can take home the most votes prize. The couple in first bought their votes. its the global economy. you pay a broker a fee, he takes his cut and then gets people in 3rd world countries who are willing to do a 1 minute task for 10 cents, bc that averages out to not a bad hourly rate. not a lot different than utilizing amazons mechanical turk service really, altho amazon doesnt allow any jobs that require a personally identifying info to my knowledge, but same principal.

it does say "we urge you to get creative on getting votes" -- that's pretty creative. how did they get outed? btw, that's the exact same way most Livejournal Spam accounts are created. It's nice to think those poor people get to vary their job a little. "create lj account, vote for wedding"....

i personally got a post on my wedding webpage with a link to a tumblr detailing it. it seems it was done through a facebook group primarily. i emailed the company about it, convinced there was no way it could be legal, but got a song and dance about how tech it is legal. i worked my butt off working for legitimate ones and it just made me so mad. then i found tho they had left homophobic comments on their youtube account about the couple in 2nd and well ROAR. what we are hoping is that they get dq'd bc they have bee in their photos and in the fine print of the rules it says no display or alcohol, cigs, or drugs, etc. so we shall see. maybe i wouldnt care if it was just vote buying, but vote buying plus terrible homophobic remarks, just NO. im now facebook friends with the couple in 2nd, robbie and allen, and they are super nice.
