Valentines day..is it even worth having as a holiday?

Valentines day had become more commercialized, and less about love. I mean, if valentines day was really about love, then you wouldn't need to buy anyone anything to show then you love them

Your not the first to state that exact point. And i could go on a long rant about the pros and cons about valentines and shit, but i dont feel like it. So i'm sorry you hate it. But valentines is alive to accomplish 3 things.

Make the little kids who dont get paper hearts from their "friends" sad.
Make teens/adults with someone completely broke.
Make teens/adults without someone feel that much more lonely and pathetic.

And it accomplishes those things pretty well.

valentines is the best the way ur valentine just appreciates u more for just about anything u've done for them lately
i didnt buy mine anything and she still loves me just as much.
for those of you who think u have to go all out on this occasion till ur broke, ur wrong.
if u make a card or anything else like that, thats a lot better than just going out to a store and buying a hallmark card with a message that came from someone else.
