I love visiting here--I always learn something from this journal (though I already knew that C. rocked the house with her sharp pointy things); but now I know that one can knit oneself a garter belt in the same shades as I used to see only on beer-can-hemisphere hats. It's a strange and wonderful time to be alive.
I once tried to teach myself to knit. I knitted the same damned six inches of a scarf about 20 times. I'd be moving along, and inevitably drop a stitch. Because I didn't know how to deal with it, I'd have to rip the whole thing apart and start over.
cninety9 taught me some knitting skillz. I've only made a few things though. Once you get over the "learning curve", it's great. I need to get on knitting my guitar-strap. I've got everything I need for it except TIME.

It’s a combination thing.

Of course, knitting isn’t what it used to be.
