I just scooped every news organization on the planet on a story of MAJOR regional, and even state-wide, significance on the NM-Central.com regional blog.  Nobody has this yet.  Except my two-week-old regional blog.

My article "Grow Your Own" on the NM-Central.com site is getting picked up by the Mid-Region Council of Governments Local Food site!

I am really having a lot of fun with all this. I'm planning articles on a variety of subjects like unlicensed contractors, economic development, environment, etc.  Yeehah!

I just got an e-mail from the editor of one of the newspapers serving the region, and he asked if it would be okay for them to put a link on the paper's web site to my regional blog at NM-Central.com! FYI: There are some new animal pictures there in yesterday's article.

My regional blog may be becoming a bit more of a success than I expected, or at least more quickly than I expected. Several community leaders have indicated an interest in posting articles. We're into the thousands of page hits in less than a week!

Well, that's it. I'm now officially a member of the press. I've started a regional blog, NM-Central.com. Events a little earlier this year rekindled my interest in the idea, and I'm looking forward to shining a little different light on some of the...er...topics of interest in the true Central Valley of the state. MOOHAHAHAHA!

I'm tired this morning, after having the first real bout of insomnia in quite some time. This is likely a combination of stress and not exercising much over the last couple of weeks. I'm feeling oddly tired and unfocused today. Part of it could still be allergies, but not all. Pollen counts are high, but they've been higher in recent weeks and the cedar/junipers to which I'm allergic are falling further down the rankings ( Read more... )
