Well, it's been quite the week. Workouts have been a little fewer than normal, but other physical activity has filled in a little. Yesterday I picked up some peat moss, some composted cotton burr, and mulch for the gardens. I also picked up some electrical conduit and elbows for the tomato/squash trellises. After dinner, I started hauling the Wildlife West soil up to the beds. This involves moving wheelbarrows full of dirt about 100 feet, mostly uphill, so needless to say ( Read more... )

Well, the basic construction of the two beds is complete. Each box is This Tuesday I'll be picking up a bunch of soil from Wildlife West; the director has been kind enough to give me some of the soil he's been prepping over the last year. Bet I'll be the only one in my neighborhood with vegetables nourished by elk manure compost!

Given that I've gone on about my house plants a number of times here, I decided to run around and snap a few shots this morning. Of course, this is the one cloudy day this week, and these aren't all the plants in the house, but I think these give at least a decent idea of the setting.

I'm pretty good at managing communications among various parties for one purpose or another. However, I occasionally run into situations where the parties try to manage the communications themselves when I'm supposed to be playing a coordinating role.
