Yeah! Departmental acceptance (The Anthro Prof. gave the okey-dokey) has been obtained for Allie. Now we wait for the final official response from the Dean's office...but it should all be cool now. Allie is *so* relieved that she has no idea what to do with herself. There is joy in Snow-ville today.

I'm hitting the reset button. After an insane week at the hospital followed by a case of "Nanooks Revenge" I feel every inch the proverbial 40 miles of bad road. It's officially cold. Things like hats, earmuffs, good gloves etc..aren't really optional anymore -nor is plugging in the car, scraping the ice off everything or putting the fleece booties on the dogs' paws. We have a red fox living at the end of our road. It's a sneaky little bit and I wasn't sure for a time if I was really seeing a fox- or a strange little dog -or whatever it might be.
