Independence Day

Once again Socorro puts on a fireworks show for the Fourth that would
be the envy of a town two orders of magnitude its size. One of the
benefits of having things go "boom" in town the rest of the year for
EMRTC. A fitting tribute to the war fought to secure our
independence.

Technically we fought a war to gain representation in our government's Parliament... we sort of ended up with our independence thanks to France.

And then...

And proceeded to continue to set off fireworks despite the fact that it is supposedly illegal after 10.

Happy shinyes! Though I know that I'll be sick of them after another two weeks of this.
