[Her majesty is all dolled up, waiting for the very important meetings with the potential suitors. The woodland creatures clearly had a hand in choosing today's
garments, they're far less stuffy than the usual choice of clothes. And the princess is keeping them busy by having them add decorations to the area around them. It's certainly better than

He blinks a little at the woodland creatures and smiles at him. Hopefully Lavi told Kanda what Allen is.]
Princess?

[His eyes have caught Kanda's attention, though the princess says nothing about it. It wouldn't do to say something judgmental.]

So long as it was the one with the absurdly pink sign, yes. [Little bit of a laugh.] My name is Allen Walker, if it pleases your highness. [Bowing. After all, he is a London boy originally.]

That's the one. Tch... [Kanda's still embarrassed about it, did he have to make sure a garish, blinding sign? But he's so pleased at Allen's manners. It's nice to be treated well, even if the date isn't likely to work out.] It pleases me. And I am the princess Yuu Kanda, daughter of king Tiedoll. [Kanda pauses, stopping himself from his usual long listing of titles and treaties. Perhaps it would be best to try to stay causal for now.]

He manages to make everything into a grand production, livens things up. [Mana managed to drill those into his grandson's head before he passed on. Allen just continues to smile as he slowly walks in, being careful not to ruin any decorations or step on paws.] What would your highness prefer to be called? Just Princess or your highness?

It's something he has a talent for. [The princess looks slightly irritated, but it's certainly not the grumpy expression the usual Kanda has. She's been taught better that that... Somewhat, at least. A princess has to look regal, not bratty.
And Mana's efforts certainly aren't going to waste. Her majesty is calmer suddenly, the way he smiles and takes his time is pleasant. She doesn't feel threatened, nor do the animals. And although Kanda complains about them, if they approve she takes it to heart.]
For now? [There's a pause, and Kanda wonders which to choose. Either seem cold, and informal. And Lavi told her to keep an open mind. And Kanda promised in turn to try to behave. So after a moment of ( ... )

He and I went exploring the first time I met him, whole miners outfit. We even found a donkey and a wagon. [Laughs a little bit. It looks better on her than the angry expression most Kandas have, he hasn't had the best luck with his run ins with them.
Allen nods and stops just a few feet in front of her, bowing a more courtly bow this time.] Alright, Kanda. [Straightening with a smile.]
Your little friends have worked hard on this room. And on keeping your outfit straight.

It sounds much like the dwarfs back home. [She doesn't laugh, but she seems relaxed. And for Kanda, that's a pretty big improvement over the usual emotions of worry, anger, and rage.
The courtly bow prompts Kanda to nod, and to move her skirt in a fashion somewhat similar to a curtsy.] ...Shall I call you Allen?
[Looks back, only to catch arranging the short train of the dress as they speak. Wanted them not to interfere was obviously wishful thinking.] They're stalking again. Tch. I can't get rid of them, so I put them to work. [There's an odd fondness to Kanda's voice, even if the woodland creatures are being glared at.]

Dwarfs? [Curious~ But he's glad she's relaxing. He's listening carefully to the ticks of her and the animals and is trying hard not to alarm any of them. Allen smiles and tilts his head a little.] Mmhmm, Mr. Walker was my grandfather.
[Small chuckle.] I think it's cute how they care for you, even in a strange place.

The miners of my home world. [The animals don't seem to mind him too much, although some are hiding behind leaves and flowers warily. Every time he smiles, they calm down a little more.]
...They're obsessed. They were supposed to stay home, but they didn't listen to me.

Allen nods, he's...learning to accept odder things than he that used to be legends. Allen smiles a lot, so it won't take much longer, probably.]
I don't blame them, who would want to leave such a lovely princess?

Kanda doesn't smile, but she looks incredibly pleased none-the-less. Her stance becomes a little less guarded, and her cheeks are tinged slightly pink at the compliment.]
Tch... As long as they're here, I'll tolerate them.

[Allen is about to offer her his arm but pauses, remembering that he should mention it.]
Ah, before we go. I'm not sure if Lavi mentioned, and I don't want to alarm you, but I am a vampire. I don't bite humans though, or animals.

She blinks, and isn't quite sure what to make of that. What in the world is a vampire? It must be some kind of family curse, or something of that sort. Or strange family line.]
Your lineage concerns me not. You are you, and here.

Then he tilts his head a bit to the side and shakes his head.] It's...not exactly a matter of linage, Kanda. [Allen is about to properly explain but stops.] But...thank you. [Softer smile.
Turning and offering her his arm now.] I was able to find a very nice spot for our date.
Reply
Linage or not... I am not concerned.
[Takes his arm, carefully holding onto it in the most lady-like of fashions.] I want to see it, then.
