[Have the other Allen that signed up poking his head in. For a change, the vampire doesn't have his hooded cape on and is wearing his best uniform.

He blinks a little at the woodland creatures and smiles at him. Hopefully Lavi told Kanda what Allen is.]

[He gives a slight nod.] If you say so. [Starts guiding her out the door and down the halls.]

It took me a while to find it, but Lavi gave a suggestion I just had to go with.

[Another nod, a deeper one this time. He won't push the issue if she's ready to accept it.]

It is a lovely place, I'm glad he brought it to my attention honestly. [Opening the door to a beach courtyard, the full moon is up high in the cloudless sky and the waves can barely be heard crashing against the shore.] I've missed being able to go to the beach.

If you say so... [Eyes widen for a moment, just staring. It amazing how magical this place can be, even to someone who grew up surrounded by fairy tales come to life.] ...You cannot enjoy such a place in your home world?

[Allen pauses at the doorway, slipping his boots off. Gotta go barefoot.]

Part of being what I am, unfortunately. I can't be in sunlight and the beaches I know are usually louder, something my ears can't stand now.

[Taking the little slippers off, since he's taking the boots off. It must be some sort of local custom.]

Allen smiles and offers her his arm again.] I'm glad you like it, Kanda. Shall we walk near the water?

[Well, that certainly makes sense. The princess is blissfully ignorant, however. So shoes come off, and afterward she takes his arm again. His smile is entirely reassuring, and that makes her feel like she's following custom at least.]

...We shall. It's just cool enough, isn't it?

[And there's a nice little wash station near the door so they won't have to put sandy feet back in their shoes either.. Allen starts walking over toward the water's edge, mindful of Kanda's skirts keeping her pace slow.]

It's still warm from today's heat, but it has cooled off a lot since then.

[How convenient! Allen really had everything planned out well. And Kanda reaches down after a moment, and carefully lifts the bottoms of the skirts so that they won't get wet. It wouldn't do to drag around a soggy train, would it?]

Tch. It was far too warm earlier.

[That or the DR decided to be nice and help the vampire out. He's not going to quite go so close to the water that she has to worry about it, but he won't stop her if she wants to go that close.]

[Hey, whatever works! And it's probably good to not let it drag in the sand either, for that matter.]

I was going to venture outdoors earlier. But I went back inside quickly. Even the animals did not wish to stay in the heat of the sun. [That would certainly save him the trouble of dealing with it. :D]

[Shame there aren't any hooks on her dress to leave her hands free from holding it up.]

I've only known rainy and muggy summers, very few days were sunny and sweltering. [It does, but he misses it sometimes. Still, he doesn't want to burst in to flame.]

[It is a shame. But Kanda isn't one to be patient, so she whistles. Although her expression shows how embarrassed she is by it, it's necesarry to do something about that dress.]

[The bluebirds appear soon after and help to pin the skirts up and out of the way. Maybe it's a slightly more scandalous look than before, but it's one that allows her freedom of motion.]

I'm not used to warm summers, muggy or otherwise. Or being outside often. [Poor vampire. Better alive, though.]

[Well...that works! Leaves Allen a little confused until the birds show up. But in his time, ladies show their ankles and a bit more than that, he'll still be a gentleman and refrain from looking.]
