[Her majesty is all dolled up, waiting for the very important meetings with the potential suitors. The woodland creatures clearly had a hand in choosing today's
garments, they're far less stuffy than the usual choice of clothes. And the princess is keeping them busy by having them add decorations to the area around them. It's certainly better than

He blinks a little at the woodland creatures and smiles at him. Hopefully Lavi told Kanda what Allen is.]
Princess?

Equator? ...I spend part of the year living in an underground palace, overseeing the mines of White Death. And another part of the year in a palace tower, in the Lotus Kindgom. And the rest, in father's castle. I do not see the outside world often, and the homes I live in are cooler than they should be.

It's...a very complicated and invisible line that cuts the world in half. [He chuckles a little.]
Is it such a bad thing, for a princess to go out and enjoy the sunlight? [Honestly curious.] It seems all they want to do is cloister you away from the world.

Princesses are kept indoors, and protected. That way they won't become prey to the cruel and perverse, or those who would seek political power through a hostage. And so they won't embarrass their kingdoms with proof of their curse.

I can see the good in doing that, but it's not really healthy. Everyone needs sunlight and fresh air. And not just gardens. [Frowns.] Kanda, I doubt you'd embarrass your kingdom just because a curse put you in the wrong gender's form.

I'm allowed out more than the usual princess would be. They doubt I'll be taken advantage of, so I am given more freedom than the usual would. Sometimes I wonder. It was certainly amusing to the lands of Noah when we visited.

Well, at least here you can go outside more often and explore things, mmm? [Smiles a little more, then gets confused.] They did?

And I do. There are many things to see, and much to learn of. [Forces a small smile, trying to make a joke of the incident. And totally not telling Allen that she threw one of the princes out of a window that day.] ...I was the laughingstock of princess Road's birthday ball. It didn't go well from there.

I bet you keep your woodland friends busy trying to keep up. [An easier and wider smile now. One that fades as Allen comes to a stop.] Not very dignified of them to be making fun of another kingdom's royalty. I'd put them from my mind, if I were you, Kanda. They're not worthy of the memory.

They're slowly getting in shape. It's good for them. [Shakes her head.] ...Father does quite a bit of dealings with them, and simply thought it expected childishness. I do little business with them myself however, and refuse to marry into that family. So they're of little importance to me. [Her expression is thoughtful after that. She might not be able to love Allen... But she's certainly interested in his company in the future. He seems to be able to understand her, or at least to fake it well enough. And his company is welcome.

I imagine so. Perhaps it's for the best then. Something they'll regret when you find your prince, mm? [A reassuring smile, positive she'll find her man, even if it isn't him. He does like her company as well, she's nothing like the other Kandas he's run into, and it's a nice change.]
