[This was a regular sitting room a few seconds earlier. Now, it's got a few filing cabinets. Lavi's managed to unlocked one, and is leaning against it with a manilla folder in hand, interrupted in the process of looking through a document

[Looking up from his own book a few comfy seats away - was he there before? Must have been - tilting his head a bit at the collar then looking back down at his book.]

Sometimes it does that, like this place doesn't care if we're in the room at the time. [Hope you don't mind a small silver Tease flitting over curiously, it'll avoid any attacks and flit back over to its owner after a few moments.] It's annoying but you get used to it.

I don't know if that one's true, honestly. Never met someone that's come back from the dead yet here.

Most. Some apprentices are Kandas or Allens or one of the others. [Looks down at it.] Can't sleep here, too much going on.

Better than finding out it's just a rumor! What's this fight over, anyway?

[He looks amused.] Y'know, I can't see either one of them taking that up.

... If you mean here, I can leave. Can't help you if you mean this place in general, but if there's no fighting, I'd've thought that would make it easier.

Saving the world, what else? [Bigger than anything he's recorded before.]

Nah, you're fine. It's not the fighting that makes it hard to sleep. My own world's mess that carried itself over here. [Getting to his feet.]

A different kind of mess than being a prisoner of war, I'm guessing?

[Watches his double get up, eyes flickering to that butterfly again for a moment.]

[Shrugs] You concentrate on the smaller reasons and you lose the bigger picture.

[Lavi gets a nod, it's an annoying matter that this one is about to bother Cross for for aid.]

It's a Tease and not nearly all of them are this friendly. Tykis usually have them, he's a Noah.

It's a little bigger picture than most wars have.

A Tease, huh? What does it do? ... I'll keep an eye out for anyone with a name tag that says "Tyki."

It eats people basically, but this one is harmless unless I'm in danger. [Snorts] There aren't name tags. He's usually tall and smokes with black curly hair. Some of them have gold eyes and some of them don't, the ones with gold eyes and dark skin with crosses on their foreheads are Noah.

[He blinks, filing away that information.] ... You know, I wasn't under the impression most butterflies could do that.

Thanks, I'll keep away from any of those with man-eating butterflies. Where'd you get yours?

They're golems, machines. You'll see other ones flying around this place, not Tease.

The Tyki from my home gave it to me, part of that complicated stuff. [Time for some questions of his own.] What's with the collar?

Huh. I wonder if any of those are like the kind I'm used to. Or do all the golems here eat people?

Must be, if someone from the other side is givin' you gifts. [He's curious, but he doesn't want to press too much right now.]

[He tugs on the collar absentmindedly.] Think of it as part of a dress code. Not exactly my style, but I'm not in charge.

Might be considering all the different worlds here. [Shakes his head.] The ones that aren't Tease will eat anything else.

[Snorts quietly, don't know the half of it. Likewise he knows there's something more but won't push.] And the folders?

Sounds a little closer to home, at least. Well, I'm glad yours is a "friendly" one.

Current events. [He holds up the file he'd been looking at when he first arrived. He's not too worried about the other making sense of most of it, since most of it references other files with strings of letters and numbers.] Gotta know what's going on around you, right?

... By the way, d'you know where a guy could find a bolt cutter around here?

[Chuckles a little and rubs at his head.] Keeping track of things going on here would probably be impossible you know.

Bolt cutter? Might find one in a closet somewhere actually.

Because of all the different worlds? Might be a challenge, but it can't be impossible.

You can find anything in the closets, get any kind of food in the cafeteria, and get your room to look like anything you want.
