Really, it's not the wall he's looking at. It's the pictures on the wall. There are framed portraits lining the hallway, with various subjects... and they're moving as though alive. In fact, the one he's looking at contains

I usually end up ignoring them and moving on at that point.

That's probably the best plan. [he looks around at the other paintings in the hallway] This really is... kind of incredible, though, don't you think? I wonder how this place does any of this...

No, just Komui's strange creations. [smiling wryly. He has no idea that vampy can sense that sort of thing, so he really is at a bit of a disadvantage, not guarding his thoughts at all.] But I've seen a lot of new things here as well.

New like what exactly? [And Allen is rather quiet about such things.]

Well... like movies, like you said. And computers. That kind of thing. They're confusing, but also really interesting.

[oh, relief! someone else understands!] They very much are. I try to avoid things like that when I can... at the least it will stop me from breaking something by trying to use it when I don't know how!
