[Just like last Yule Ball, she is admiring the tree! The DR has outfitted her in its usual fare of fancy evening gowns, but she's making do remarkably well. This is the third ball she's been to in the last year, after all.]

[She laughs, softly.] Would you like to dance?

[stainedlotus]

[Holding out a hand for her with a smile.] Why don't we?

[fallforthesky]

[Links their arms together instead.] You know how to waltz, right?

[stainedlotus]

[Oh hey linked arms fjh] Ah... Kind of.

[fallforthesky]

Only kind of? [LEADING HIM TO THE DANCE FLOOR, YES. Luckily for him, it's off to the side.] Well, I can teach you how.

I was mostly taught ballroom dancing. [Following! And yay no big crowds around!]

[fallforthesky]

A waltz counts as ballroom, doesn't it? [She gives him a moment before trying to guide his hands to where they should be on her body.]

Ah, I guess it does. [Noting where his hands are for future dancing!]

[Once his hands are situated, she slips her own over his shoulder and around the back of his neck and straightens up. Slowly trying to move him into the box step, just to see if he recognizes it, so there's no meshing with the beat of the music or any of that. It probably looks very sloppy to anyone watching them.] See, it's really simple. You just move in a square, essentially.

Oh, that. [Sob he never paid attention to dance style names when Cyril taught him.]

So you do know it. Perfect. [So she'll slow them to a stop and bring them back into it at the beginning of the next proper beat. It's difficult to lead him when she's meant to follow, but she manages it.]

Yeah. I was...taught when I was younger. [And he'll leave it at that. Doesn't want to ruin the moment and just concentrates on dancing with Lenalee. And of course she'll manage to lead, she's Leanlee!]

[Indeed she can lead if circumstances call for it, but she put Kanda in the lead position, so she has to follow. She doesn't think he'd appreciate being given the woman's role in the waltz. So once they're moving smoothly, she'll sink back into following.] I think it's made you very graceful.

[Minor errors and stumbles aside.]

[Not really, but with Eloi he does follow, naturally. Also hush it's been years since he's...attended one of the Camelot's balls.]

[She doesn't know about Eloi, though.] I wouldn't say so if I didn't mean it.
