A bit of this, a bit of that

Man, i rarely check lj anymore. Which sucks...if i miss a couple days, there is too much on my friends list to read so i just haven't bothered. Hopefully i haven't missed any exciting news from anyone. Only 3 more weeks of the corporate world then i will be back home, spending the day/night with my lovely computer and staying on top of all my blogs ( Read more... )

Weird! But fun! :)

I was thinking of you yesterday (does that make me creepy?)... I was working on packaging for my pocket mirrors. Normally i just put them in their velvet pouch and wrap that in tissue paper for orders. However, for the shows i am doing (and for wholesale which i'll likely be starting in the fall) i needed something better and figured i would do the common baggie and cardboard tag thingy... But yeah, i had checked out your mirrors on etsy to try to figure out what size bags you used... Haha ;) Anyway, I just ordered 3.5 X 6 poly baggies...think those will work out ok.

Not 'breaking up'...broke up! Wah! Apparently the guys grew apart and don't get along anymore (only talked to each other when they did shows). Sad. I think their album is one of the best albums from the last 5 years for sure.

He wasn't crushed! He didn't seem to surprised, actually. So much for my fun! I bet he went off and cried in the bathroom later, though. I know I did...

ARG! I know! I feel so lame for just *throwing* the mirrors in a bag with a header. I feel like I should be more creative than that. Little boxes would be cute, but too big to ship, and people touch them at shows, and get their fingerprints on them. My bags are 3/5, but I think that 3.5 would fit, better.

I don't think your packaging is lame at all! I think it is the best kind of packaging for items like that. Boxes would be cute...but yeah, not the best for shows or for shipping. Plus, definitely best way i can think of in regards to selling them wholesale.

Yay Firefly! I love "watching" it when I'm sewing. I've seen them all enough times to know what's going on but it's still fun to hear the witty remarks.

Great pics! That looks like a really nice zoo. The animals have lots of space. I thought that monitor was real too! I wonder if the ostrich was mad at you because of your red hair. I don't know if they can see color or not, but red is a stimulating color for a lot of animals.

And yeah, stupid Fox. Arrested Development is one of my favorite shows ever.

The Twigs and Heather stuff is gorgeous. Now I know what to ask for at Christmas. :)

I wondered that too about the ostrich. It seemed only me that he was intent on climbing over the barrier to eat. Unless i stimulated him in a different way? Yikes. (see Zebra photo)

Yeah i love the Twigs and heather stuff! I love my necklace so much!

dfa1979 is breaking up... how unfortunate.

are you having a party on your last day of work?

Very unfortunate indeed.

Heh, no party planned. Don't think it could ever top the 'great goodbye of 2005' (aka the night of the office hottie). Though maybe we can set up drinks after work? Will let you know - you can meet us at the Cadillac Lounge. :)
