January's reads
There actually wasn't all that much of my usual topics in here. Two books dealt with diabetes. The best book I read in January was probably Waiting. I'm snowed in right now- both of my part time jobs' gigs for today were canceled due to weather, the library is closed (even though I have a book due). Herbs and Diabetes
Definitely in my list of top ten pet peeves is when I tell people about something I have - be it diabetes or another medical issue- and they immediately want to tell me about a cure or treatment. Especially if they get all conspiracy theory on me and tell me that what I've got can be cured but the FDA doesn't want me to know or some shit. ( Read more... ) -

I've had a quieter four months with nothing major happening medically. I took too much vitamin D but it was caught right before it built up to toxic levels. My doctor said it was the highest vitamin D level he'd ever seen in an outpatient. But all I had to do was stop taking it, and that was easy ( Read more... ) -

Wow, it's been months since I posted. Hmm. Well, I've been up to a lot. I had a new sphincter created a couple weeks ago, only I'm not sure where it is. They put me under anesthesia and stuck the tubes and knives and such down my throat and cut me a sphincter so that stones could pass through and not give me such grief.
