Thanks to my use of UPS My Choice, I got an early heads up that someone is sending me 2 packages from   Harney  & Sons : Master Tea Blenders .

I'm very excited. I LOVE my tea, the way Brian loves his coffee, and I have the fancy loose leaf brew gadgets and special tins  to prove it.

Ezri got her first basketball yesterday ( this Fisher-price version for toddlers). She loved it. Even better was when I showed her it could bounce if thrown hard on the ground. She couldn't stop laughing. It was the first time she had encountered an object that bounced/defied gravity. It was quite adorable.

We got snow! Last night our hill got dusted with about 4 inches! It mostly melted away later the following afternoon, but for now the grass and trees look winter beautiful. The highs in the day are about 39-41 F but dip to 30 F at night.

Ezri's new winter coat arrived today, just in time!

It's the little things that can bring such joy.

Ezri is getting better at hugs.  All on her own she's started throwing her little arms around my neck, then laying her head on my chest. She will spontaneously go from playing with blocks to climbing on my lap for affection. My heart melts.

I have been desperately low on sleep lately, so when Ezri woke up properly at 8:30 am (not like the 2 am, 4 am, and 6 am teething cries for help) and I finished nursing her, I took her to our 100% baby safe playroom. I plopped myself on the floor, eyes closed, to rest.

Being sick is never fun. I came down with some vague not-the-flu but worse-than-a-cold-with-high-fever something last week on Monday. Though better than I was, I am still feeling sick. :-(

This birthday has been filled with JOY and I feel quite blessed.
