I just got back from my one week follow-up, and it looks like my eyes are healing properly. My optometrist saw a little inflammation in my left eye flap, but it's within the normal range. He expected to see the same amount of inflammation in my right eye flap, but apparently that side is healing much faster and looks like what they expect at one ( Read more... )

I went to Whistler the first weekend of March, and it was awesome!! Chris and I drove up on Saturday and stopped in Vancouver for the first night. My aunt, uncle, and cousins live there so we were able to stay with them and save some money. I started taking piano lessons in June 2007, and in 3 months I'll reach my one year anniversary. I can't believe how far I've come. Right now I'm learning "Imagine" by The Beatles and a Minuet by Bach.

Also, I got a neat little activity sheet and a cupcake from my piano teacher in celebration of Bach's birthday on Friday. Yay! :)

Tomorrow I have my Lasik eye surgery at 9:30 am at the Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute in Bellevue. This place was recommended by my optometrist, who also had his eyes done there about 10 years ago. I guess that's a good sign ( Read more... )

Yesterday was the big Launch -- Windows Server 2008, Visual Studio 2008, and SQL Server 2008. The team I'm on (IIS) ships with Windows Server 2008 (and Vista), so it impacted me too. It's a great feeling to be done with a major deliverable, but this definitely does not mean my work is done. We're already starting to ramp up for the next major ( Read more... )

WeekendOn Friday I was fortunate enough to attend Barack Obama's rally at the Key Arena in Seattle Center. What an amazing experience! 21,000 people showed up to hear him speak. Then on Saturday I participated in the caucus. That was my first time going to one of those, and it was neat. I got to say why I think Obama would make the better ( Read more... )
