This morning the movers came to my home in San Jose to pack up all of my stuff. It took them only 2 1/2 hours to pack and load up everything, including my piano. I called my mom periodically to check in, and she said that they were all doing a really great job. I finally have internet access in my temporary housing! No more going to the Bellevue Public Library for free wireless.

Well, I did it. Part of me wishes I were back at home in San Jose, but I know this will be a wonderful opportunity and experience. On Sunday I move into temporary housing in Redmond, where I'll stay for two weeks. On Monday I have my first day of orientation. And in two weeks I will get to move into my apartment in Bellevue. Today I went to Pike's Place to see what all the fuss is about. It's a pretty neat place, but I didn't get to see any flying fish. The great thing about the market is that you can buy a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables for a great price. I bought some vine ripe tomatoes, fresh basil, nectarines, and peaches.
