Last night I took some Kinky Women Who Like Women to see Monday Night Tease at the 3 Clubs. It was a blast and a half. We had good seats despite it being a sold-out show. It's the oddity factor. Sure, there are weird things in porn, but with porn, you're supposed to be paying attention to the explicitly sexy, not the weird. Or only to the weird as it pertains to your particular kinks. In burlesque, there's some explicitly sexy, but it's less explicit, and there's less of it. You're there to see the talent and the weird. You're there to go 'How does s/he do that? That's awesome! I want to do that!' It's less about the half-naked ladies and more about the 'LOLWUT', although it's definitely presented by half-naked ladies, and in some cases gents. You can appreciate the sexiness more because it's not framed as 'this is supposed to be sexy'.

A fine analysis as usual. Hey, so my trip into the desert has been postponed until summer. The trolley tours of the city don't restart until April and I'm not able to get away until June.

Ah, fair enough. I expect to be much the same in June as I have been before it.

I will warn the hell out of you, though, that June is when things start to get unpleasant, weather-wise. Expect to need a sun hat and something lightweight and long-sleeved. The perils of direct sunlight at 5500 feet are not to be underestimated. You probably already know that a water bottle is a good idea, if you mean to spend much time outside.

It's not as bad as it gets, later in the summer, but since the monsoon has been a little flaky, the last couple of years, I have no idea hot and anti-humid it'll be by June. (Negative humidity! It's a real thing!)

There's also something that has amazed me since high school. Girl with a teeny mini all the way up to there. Another girl with a floor-length skirt, slit on one side all the way up to the same there. Which one gets the attention?
The mind trick of seeing something that maybe you weren't supposed to... gets 'em every time.
