My Mad Men squee cannot be contained in 140 characters. So some longer thoughts under the cut. ( Bisou Bisou. )

He’s certainly a man on the brink and he can either finally get with
the program and make changes in his life that will keep him successful and happy

I'm beginning to think it's not in Roger's (or Don's) nature to be happy. Whatever they've got, they end up wanting something different. Roger has had so many opportunities to have Joan, but he always chooses something else. Back when he was married, he thought Jane would be the solution to his happiness, and now he's more miserable than ever. If Roger married Joan tomorrow, he'd probably be sleeping with Pete's secretary by the weekend.

And the new Bobby seems good.

Is the new Bobby M.J. Delfino from DH? That's who he looks like, but I don't see it on that actor's imdb, so idk.

Love the Lane/Joan dynamic! Hope they never take it to a creepy sex place.

That is very true. It would be refreshing to see him "grow up," but at this point I don't think Roger is capable of that.

And I don't think it's the kid from Desperate Housewives, no.

Love the Lane/Joan dynamic! Hope they never take it to a creepy sex place.

I don't think they would do that. The very idea gives me the willies. Eeeeeek.

When Roger yelled "That's my baby!" I died.

I was so focused on Roger I didn't look at Joan's reaction. I wish I still had it on DVR to watch again.

I loved the premiere, especially all of the stuff around Joan, and all of the stuff around Don and Megan.

The business with Pete and the office was fascinating and, yes, you're right: things are only going to get more difficult between him and Roger.

Didn't realize how much I missed it all until I watched it all. Yay!

Lane is totally creepy, and yet, in some ways he's one of the kindest, most sympathetic characters on the show. Which is why his scene with Joan was SO AMAZING. Seeing someone express so much empathy is a rare thing on Mad Men, which makes it a real treasure when it happens. And anyone who can break down Joan's barriers must have superpowers of kindness.

Similarly, I am kind of amazed by Megan, simply because she seems to be able to get both Peggy and Sally to be nice to her. Not only are they both notoriously prickly, but they've both got reason to resent her, so the fact that she can get them to be nice to her is sort of goddesslike. I was in awe of all of her interactions with Peggy because their relationship is so fraught with tension and yet Megan always seems to win Peggy over.

But, OMG, she and Don are such a train wreck waiting to happen! You were SO RIGHT on Twitter about how Don would only like the singing if it had come from a woman he wasn't married to. Oh, Don, you are such a self-destructive dickbag. LOL.

Very true. And even his creepiness comes from a place of sadness and loneliness that is understandable, even if it goes about placating it in less understandable ways. ;)

Agreed about Megan, though we didn't get to see much interaction between Megan and Sally this time, so I will be curious to see how that develops. The way she looked at Megan lying in Don's bed didn't exactly look happy.

Oh, Don, you are such a self-destructive dickbag. LOL.

LOLOL, that pretty much sums it up! Jerk.
