As I've shared, I've been training for a 10K. Well, the summer kind-of took on a life of it's own and now it's fall. The 10K I plan to run is a Flapjack run. You do the run, you eat pancakes. Its pretty awesome. I've never run a 10K before in my life. I've done the 5K's but no 10K. I created a training schedule about 4 weeks ago. If I'd stuck to it ( Read more... )

I say aim for the full 6 this weekend. You'll be surprised what your body can go. Make it at least the 5.5 and then do the whole 'oh.... I'm just going to run for one more song' thing.... and you'll be almost there. At the slow pace I run, a half a mile is basically 1.5 songs.... and that's how I get more distance when my hip allows me to run ;)

I really want to go for the 6 as I think (think) I can do it. And I really need to be able to do it in 3 weekends anyways. Thanks for the advice!
