i forgot why i preferred the ease of selling on spot's corner - there isn't that typical shitiquette where people comment on your entry just minutes after you've made it and then four or more hours roll by and you're still without payment ( Read more... )

Give her time. As a parent I'm sure you know that shit happens during the day and that sending a payment may have taken a backseat to something happened with her kid(s). If you haven't heard back by the end of the day, then relist them.

This, unless you said somewhere in your sale post that you wanted payment within a certain amount of time. I would send them a nice little reply, making sure they're still interested. Let them know that you're going to relist them tomorrow morning if you haven't heard anything by then.

actually, i even have that problem on spots. People will purchase it and not pay for hours and hours, sometimes not at all. It's REALLY annoying.

I had a person today purchase two things, ask me for a combined shipping. I sent an invoice IMMEDIATELY and it's been hours and I've heard nothing. This time I forgot to put that I expect payment within the hour, so I'm trying to be patient, but srsly.

yeah, it happens on spot's, too for sure.
but i forgot that it seems to be the way to operate on lj. like it's the rule, not the exception.

Not everyone sits at their computer all day long. I know i only come downstairs to use the computer 3ish times a day. So if i want something I comment... then i get busy with my daughter, 5 hours later when i come back down i see that they have commented back to me and then i pay them... give her time and be patient.

aw, i thought you had a little boy for some reason.

i guess it was my fault for not stating that i was pretty much expecting immediate payment. hence my mention of preferring spot's. because if it's not implied, you can state it without seeming rude.

I would give someone at least the full day, but that's me. I know that I'll often comment and then go off to do other things (go to work, something with the kids, whatever), and only check in again much later when I can find another minute to myself.
