My small prints of Picasso’s Girl Before a Mirror and Matisse’s Goldfish adorn the south wall of my office.  Confidently separating these two prints is my black and gold vase from India a student gave me.   The right hand side of this wall has a long thin window that looks out into the middle of an old pine tree full of birds and their many nests.  ( Read more... )

I suppose my personal calendar is more academically oriented.  My year begins in September in many ways.  The new journey I’ve been asking the universal force that one asks for such things has arrived.  I’m getting psyched about it.

I LOVE change.  It’s what keeps me wanting to turn the pages.  What’s next?!

This morning I straightened my hair.  All the curl had to go.  Curls just turn into rats’ nests in the wind.  And it was going to be windy, I would see to that.  I slicked my hair all the way back and pulled it into a neat ponytail decorated with a black ribbon.  The black would look good in the car.  I don’t know why I waited so long to drive her. I believe in taking care of myself.  I eat a balanced vegetarian diet and partake in a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep moisturizing cleanser lotion.
