Some people are leaves on a tree. The wind blows, they go to the left. The wind blows from the other way, they go to the right. They are just unstable. You can't count on them

wow, that is so true. and applies to my life so much right now. one of my close friends is a "leaf" and after 3 years, she's not going to become a branch. i have to break it and its kind squishing my heart. she's a wonderful person but constantly plays a 1 way friendship. i have to keep rescuing her from falling off the cliff and it's so frustrating.

i have one root, and the funny thing is people never think we would be friends. we're completely opposites. she's very shy, tiny, and always on time while i ..can never shut my mouth, i'm tall, and usually 5 minutes late. but that's how life works. you know good people when you meet them. i think she and i are going to be old ladies with 900 wrinkles and still be best friends.
