because of how bad it is over in iraq, we were talking to someone at wendys who said he wish he never did it!

i know but like isnt it ultimately his decision? i mean..its his life yall arent like engaged or married or anything and that choice affects the rest of his life so why try and tell him what to do with it..? i was just confused i guess bc i could never see myself trying to tell someone what to do with the rest of their life..i mean its theirs isnt it?

exactly- that choice affects the rest of his life. i'm not trying to tell him what to do, but i know from personal experience that people being in the military ruins the family. and i'm not the only one its happened to so i was just telling him that he'll barely ever see his wife & kids if thats what he wants and stuff..it was more of a discussion, not telling each other what to do because he's not going to listen to me if thats what he really wants to do. we were just discussing it.
