Hair equipment
Most days i wash my hair with baking soda. On special days i might use shampoo and conditioner. On really special days i might use a brush when hair drying. And a few times a year i go to a salon for a hair cut and then it's all systems go!

On breastfeeding
"Are you still breastfeeding?" or "Are you still feeding baby yourself?" are the two top questions i get when questioned by well meaning visitors.

Mothering Ruth 2
At 4 and a half months Ruth is much easier to handle. I can be a yummy mummy now, pushing her around in her stroller and having all these lunch and coffee dates. This is more like it! Mothering Ruth
I won't say that I am a natural mother. I knew nothing about babies and relied heavily on friends and the hospital on info on how to mother Ruth. The midwives at the hospital (we stayed there for 5 nights) taught us how to breastfeed, change diapers, bath, and play with baby. Kids
Before i became a mother, a bunch of children playing and having fun unnerved me. It was 'too full on'. I was worried about them spilling stuff on me or stepping on my toes. I found that all kids looked the same (except my close friends' kids whom i made an effort with).
