Ok, what's the line between grumpy old man and person with a brain? Cause' I'm not sure I'd have done anything differently, except maybe have actually called the cops.

Yikes. I thought those were the quiet student teacher types.

You're not old... and I think the possibility of having my house catch on fire (because of someone else's negligence) would make me feel grumpy and cranky, too.

I agree, that was just being smart.

Being a grumpy old man would have been if you had yelled out your window at them complaining that they had a fire at all. "In my day we never started fires in our yards, we started them down in the quarry like any decent folk would..."
