So on the fourth anniversary of completing one of my better projects, I finished up doing an evaluating playthrough of an acquaintance's work, making sure to jot down every thought, every flaw, every good idea, and fire it off to them. I've more or less completed the basic design documentation for how things will flow/go. Namely, the tools available to the player. I have put a lot of thought into them. They may not be quite as amazing in practice as they seem on paper - my first task of order is to figure out once and for all which engine I want to use to build this demonstration ( Read more... )

In the process of dusting out the inside of my computer case, I had to move a pile of papers elsewhere. I found an odd little dongle for my headset that links the cables into some USB cable or some such. It works for all of fifteen minutes until it decides to mute all audio forever until I reboot ( Read more... )

I miss having a bunch of text file windows open at once, archiving ideas and sections to eventually put together into one big whole. I have not done this in a long time.
