The hard thing about pullets is you just don't know how tame they'll be. For suburban chickens? Tameness is essential- if you ever have an escape, you have GOT to have chickens that want to be caught. :P The other thing is that you're really at the mercy of the seller as far as honesty goes- it's not like dogs where guessing ages is pretty easy!
