 Today someone asked me what I've learned since I've been working with a campus ministry.

It seems to me that I'm learning A LOT about life just as I live... and yes, working with a campus ministry highlights some different elements, but I'm also just learning about me.  What I enjoy, what I don't enjoy and so forth.

Attending a graduation party of a dear childhood friend today I found myself forcing myself into social situations in which I may normally avoid.  Those conversations with friends of parents, parents of friends, distant acquaintances, siblings of friends and so forth... I've felt a ridiculous need to write lately, yet haven't found time.  I probably ought to be doing something more productive at the moment but I can't deny myself this desire any longer.  Writing is therapeutic... perhaps I just need to set aside more time to exercise this healthy craving ( Read more... )

I woke in a fog this morning.  I could not hear clearly out of either ear and thinking was through a haze... Luckily little kids don't notice when I'm distant.  It doesn't take much to keep them engaged and they don't care if what I say is articulate and intelligent.  I appreciate that about the kids.  Contrarily, my co-workers notice when I'm not ( Read more... )
