Reboot Application v. 2

Welcome to Digilife, here's your latest application. For the newbies, we're a Digimon Adventure/02 game based in the real world, which means we sometimes refer to real world topics. As such, we expect these topics to be treated with maturity and grace as they arise ( Read more... )

Since I just about have an app finished with the old application thing.. I must ask, what do you mean by partner integration for the third person? Are people not apping as Digimon anymore, so we have to app the Digimon as well? I'm kinda confused here. o.o;

That's because we don't often get people applying to play digimon. I wish we did, because we really need digimon players :/. But people can app digimon normally if they want to. This is just in the case that if they don't have anyone playing their partner.

So, we're writing a journal entry as the Digimon for that section then?

Yeah, pretty much. I wasn't all sure how to go about it, but we do really need to stress the whole name-of-the-show thing at some point.

It should also be noted that his humbleness is often taken the wrong way, as sometimes it feels phony or like he's trying to hide things from people. Along with that, his aloofness is often something that drives people away, as he takes a long time to decide whether he trusts a person or not, which is obviously quite insulting to a lot of people. That and he often times gets so wrapped up in his artistic endeavours that he forgets about the rest of the world and sort of falls off the grid. Another thing to note, he is still a bit on the sheltered side in terms of how the real world works, which is why he does throw money at things like causes, since that's all he knows how to do. If told he should actually do something more productive, he'd likely be totally at a loss and have no idea how to respond. In this way, and how he is with relationships, he obviously has a bit of a cowardly streak, although he has plenty of excuses that he tries to use to justify them ( ... )

Aside from the long term crush Michael had on Mimi, and has finally gotten over, Michael has had a few relationships. Nothing major, as he is the type to pine away for someone and not do anything about it, unlike some other guys. Despite how friendly he is, he isn't very confident where girls are concerned. It doesn't help that he often gets tossed into the friend zone, especially since he's mistaken for being gay more often than he cares to comment on. And for the record, he isn't gay. Bi-curious maybe, but not gay ( ... )

If you want to lock a partner straight off the bat*, can a third person sample with the digimon partner count as both samples or do you want separate samples for both kid and digimon?

Also, does a locked partner need a personality section?

* I keep playing OCs; the partner being played differently from my vision has a huge impact on the kid. Plus, being in another timezone makes real time communication more difficult

This is a good question and I'll amend the app to reflect it. For straight-up locks, include separate samples and a separate personality section. Thanks :).

Character's name: Rieko Kodera, Tsunomon, and Poyomon

Background info:
Born August 3rd 1990, Rieko was not impressed when her ninth birthday was overshadowed by news reports of Odaiba being overrun by monsters and more monsters appearing all over the world. This did not help endear her to her much older siblings, with whom Rieko never got along well. Luckily, the digital pet e-mailed to her within months made yet another perfect hobby for someone whose siblings wouldn't play with them. Rieko, however, dismissed most of the e-mails explaining that this was a digimon and she was its Tamer as too long to read; the main reason she worked to train and evolve Poyomon was because she got bored with his form.

Her invitation to the Digimon Grand Prix revived her interest at a point when it was starting to wane, especially when she found herself in a whole other world, with her own digimon from the game, Poyomon. Finally, something her siblings hadn't done first! ( ... )

Personality: (Digimon personalities further down the app with their samples)
The baby of her family by a significant gap, Rieko was materially spoilt by her parents. She's so used to getting what she wants on a silver platter that when she doesn't, it's a big deal to her and she'll fight for whatever it is long on sheer principle, even, sometimes, after she loses interest in it. (Incidentally, this makes her a terrible girlfriend, both needy and high maintenance.) She can also be a pretty sore loser. She'll do anything to get what she wants: Bribery, threats, use her fame or looks, act sweetly to people she hates, you name it. Generally she defaults to the last two, but she's not above the other tactics ( ... )

History since 02:
Rieko was the first to lose interest in training digimon, which after her history of fleeting but passionate hobbies came as no surprise to her parents. She began going to fewer and fewer of the group training sessions, providing increasingly pathetic excuses for her absence. Her partners became nothing more than cute talking pets to be evolved when she got bored with their form; she couldn't exactly do that with a cat or something ( ... )

Sample post, 1st person:
Hello, everyone! A community for people involved with digimon, what a great idea! I don't know most of you, but my name's Kodera Rieko, and my partners are Poyomon and Tsunomon. Poyomon's not that interested in blogging, but Tsunomon and I look forward to getting to know you all, as well as catching up with those we do know. ♥

For those of us in Japan, how are you all coping after the earthquake? I am getting so tired of these rolling blackouts; they make work take so much longer, which is a real pain after I lost a lot of work in an office fire! At least Tsunomon doesn't mind evolving to run a few appliances for me at home. Now if only one of my partners could do something about these aftershocks! They're annoying in their own way.

Well, some of my work's come home with me, so I'll comment back later! ♥

Sample post: 3rd person limited:With a hat, a brunette wig, and huge sunglasses, Rieko hoped that no one would recognize her on the way to work this morning. As much as she loved her fans, the bigger ( ... )
