I'm almost embarrassed to write anything here, since I'm sure most people think I've dropped off the planet. I'm going to try to be better at updating, I promise. Over at mfuwss there's a long and complicated round robin going on and I'm next in line to write a chapter, so that's the best excuse for procrastinating here for a while that I can think of - ( Read more... )

Hey, good to see you!

RE: retirement. nsandik says the same thing.

Good luck with your MIL. Sounds like you need it.

Lovely to see you here. I've been wondering how things have been going with your wrist and M-i-L.

M-I-L: No I didn't. I wanted one of those valance trims to cover the base. A nice white one to match the duvet.

Argh!!! And did you manage to keep your temper and a smile on your face? Or have we got to start to learn to make cakes with files in them?

Seriously, it's great news about your M-i-L's new home; I hope she'll be very happy there. I'm sure you and hubby are looking forward to being on your own with the dogs again.

As Cindy said, all the results seem to be 'rare'.

Through gritted teeth! It's a good job that for the most part we've rubbed along quite well. It is nice to have her settled though, and even nicer to be alone with Mr T and the dogs.

Do you have Spring up there in the northeast?

I can imagine the gritted teeth.

Spring is in the air, the sping flowers are starting to appear. You?

I guess I might have to change my default icon to Spring.

I got the same result as you so it's probably not all that damn rare. I'd love a result that said: "You're like 99% of folks--they sure didn't throw away the mold when you came along!"

I think all life is a bit like your MIL--try dealing with the city of Chicago!

So maybe we're a rare pair.

Not deaf so much, a little dumb and changable and capricious and grasping. Chicago would say it liked the mattress cover, where is the bedskirt? and what else you got?

Only the charitable part of me thinks deafness has anything to do with it *g*. Perhaps the Chi city fathers are all elderly (apparently known among nurses as 'crumblies'. And here I thought nurses were such nice people!)

I retired due to disability four years ago. I have a to-do list of things like "organize photos" which is gathering dust. I never even got my Christmas cards out. How did I used to squeeze all of this into a day and work?

I think it's easy to say no to things when you work - you have the perfect excuse. I used to lament, when I worked, that I did nothing but work, eat and sleep during the week. Now I have more to do and more variety (and a lot less remuneration!)

I can very easily vision the scene between you and your mother-in-law, since I know her! You should use that in a story, quite funny and vivid. I did the test and got: very rare and...goofy!!!

Pretty accurate then *g* So what are you?

As I told you: goofy! I forgot the rest; introvert and rational I think. The problem is I don't know what goofy does mean, except it's a comics character's name (I also forgot the character; I don't like comics).
